The School of Education is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Certification Officer to support faculty, staff, and students within the department. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including assisting with certification processes, working closely with both undergraduate and graduate students, managing data input, and handling other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the School of Education.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Certification Support:
+ Assist in the certification process for students and faculty.
+ Ensure compliance with state and accreditation requirements for educator certification.
+ Maintain and update certification records and documentation.
+ Serve as a liaison between the department and certification authorities.
2. Faculty Support:
+ Provide administrative support to faculty, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and managing communications.
+ Assist with organizing faculty events, workshops, and training sessions.
+ Help with the coordination of faculty meetings, ensuring agendas are prepared and minutes are documented.
3. Student Support:
+ Serve as a first point of contact for undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Education.
+ Assist students with questions related to course registration, certification, and program requirements.
+ Maintain accurate student records and provide assistance with data entry.
+ Help with onboarding and advising of new students, as needed.
4. Data Entry and Management:
+ Input and maintain accurate data in various databases, including student records, faculty schedules, and certification details.
+ Compile reports and analyze data as required by the department.
+ Assist with the preparation of documentation for institutional reports, accreditation, and other assessments.
5. General Administrative Support:
+ Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
+ Prepare and maintain office documents, correspondence, and files.
+ Assist with the preparation and coordination of departmental events, conferences, and meetings.
+ Manage office supplies and ensure the office environment remains organized.
6. Other Duties as Needed:
+ Provide support for special projects and initiatives within the School of Education.
+ Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors and faculty.
The estimated wage is $25.64 per hour for 37.5 hours per week for 52 weeks.
Job Requirements:
+ High school diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
+ Previous administrative experience, preferably in an academic setting.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
+ Experience with data management and entry is a plus.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
+ Knowledge of educational certification processes and student services is a plus.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
