    Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

    The Position

    Reporting to Versant’s SVP of Content and Audience Analytics, the VP will help to shape the future of Versant’s sports and entertainment brands and programming. This person will provide actionable insights based on cross-platform audience analytics. The VP will arm senior stakeholders with the information needed to guide content, marketing, distribution and scheduling decisions to maximize audiences and monetization in an increasingly complex media ecosystem.

    Responsibilities:

    + Partner with Versant’s senior leaders in the Sports and Entertainment verticals, translating complex analytics into actionable strategies that influence investment decisions, greenlight processes, and go-to-market approaches.

    + Lead a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven storytelling.

    + Oversee the implementation of integrated analytics frameworks that unify viewing data across linear and non-linear platforms.

    + Identify emerging trends, benchmark performance, and shape business opportunities by delivering best-in-class competitive intelligence across the sports and entertainment landscape.

    + Utilize predictive models and forecasting tools that support content planning, advertising sales projections, and audience development strategies.

    + Champion the use of advanced analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Python, R) to enhance automation, reporting, and data visualization, ensuring real-time delivery of critical KPIs to business stakeholders.

    + Stay ahead of measurement advancements, platform evolution, and consumer behavior trends.

    Required Qualifications:

    + 10+ years of leadership in media analytics, audience measurement, and/or digital intelligence.

    + Proven knowledge of multi-platform media ecosystems, including linear TV, streaming services, social media, and digital publishing. Proficiency in media analytics platforms such as Nielsen, Comscore, and proprietary tools.

    + Demonstrated expertise in analytical and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Python, R). Deep understanding of advanced modeling techniques, machine learning applications, and predictive analytics in a media context.

    + Demonstrated success in building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams

    Desired Characteristics:

    + Track record of driving measurable business outcomes.

    + Proven ability to communicate complex data in a compelling narrative that influences high-level business decisions and aligns with broader corporate goals.

    + Strong understanding of entertainment and sports media trends, audience dynamics, and monetization models across ad-supported and subscription platforms.

    + Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA desired.

    Additional Requirements:

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    Salary range: $190,000 - $250,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
