Description
Join our Cybersecurity and Digital Risk (CDR) team to help us also lead the airline industry in cyber-safety. United’s CDR team is tasked with keeping our customers’ and employees’ information safe and secure. Our primary mission is to embed cybersecurity into the DNA of United Airlines by reducing business risk through implementation of strong cybersecurity standards.
Job overview and responsibilities
The Sr Analyst - Cybersecurity Awareness & Culture is responsible for designing and executing on the organization’s security awareness strategy. This role ensures employees understand and effectively adopt secure behaviors through engagement programs, phishing simulations, and targeted training initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience in security awareness, behavioral change strategies, and security training programs.
+ Develop and lead cybersecurity awareness and engagement, ensuring alignment with organizational OKRs
+ Oversee phishing simulation campaigns, analyze results, and implement improvements based on those insights
+ Design and launch interactive engagement campaigns, including security champions programs and gamified learning
+ Measure the effectiveness of security awareness efforts and report on behavioral trends
+ Stay up to date on emerging security awareness best practices and psychological models for behavior change
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
+ Bachelor's degree required (prefer Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field)
+ 4+ years of experience
+ Governance background in areas such as process standards, process governance, writing standards, controls, and policy.
+ Knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, or etc.
+ Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
+ Ability to perform in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects and priorities
+ Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
+ Skilled in communicating with all levels of management (e.g., interpersonal skills, approachability, effective listening skills, appropriate use of style and language for the audience)
+ Willingness to learn from others and self-motivated to continuously grow
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Posting end-date: 7/14/2025
The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $149,600.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
