Ready to lead the next generation of airport development across the U.S.? Join our aviation planning team and help design smarter, more connected, and passenger-focused airport environments. From terminal expansions to complete airport master plans, your work will impact how millions travel.
As a senior team member, you’ll lead diverse planning efforts—from strategic studies to implementation planning—at airports of all sizes. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex planning challenges with expertise and clarity.
This position could be based in Denver, Dallas, Cincinnati, Chicago or Jacksonville FL.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Your Role:
+ Lead terminal expansion studies, airport master plans, business plans, and implementation strategies.
+ Deliver planning analyses across airfields, terminals, aprons, and landside facilities.
+ Analyze demand and capacity, develop forecasts, conduct benchmarking, and interpret data to inform planning decisions.
+ Prepare technical reports and present insights to a range of audiences.
+ Collaborate with clients to define goals, scope, and requirements.
+ Lead design meetings, site visits, and stakeholder workshops.
+ Support business development through proposals and interviews.
+ Mentor junior staff and contribute to our global planning community.
+ Stay current on regulations, environmental trends, and customer-experience best practices.
What You Bring:
+ Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Aviation, or related field.
+ 5–10 years of airport planning experience across airfield, terminal, and landside areas.
+ Understanding of airport systems and how components work together.
+ Experience leading commercial terminal planning projects at U.S. airports.
+ Skilled in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of airport planning tools is a plus.
+ Strong communication and client presentation skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
+ Experience writing proposals and supporting bids.
+ Familiarity with U.S. airport regulations, ICAO/FAA standards, airspace planning, environmental factors, and airport business models.
+ Awareness of how planning affects the traveler experience.
Bonus Points For:
+ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu.
+ Strong quantitative and modeling skills.
+ Exposure to terminal or airfield operations or simulation tools.
Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $80,000 - $120,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
