The Opportunity
This position works out of our Arecibo location in the CRM division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
This is an exempt role.
The Facilities Engineer I, shall support utilities and facilities department, leading the TPM program strategy as a PM Pillar under the TPM SME leader, will support all initiative and programs related with energy and water as part of the sustainability Site goals and will be handling local agencies reports and keep the Facilities within compliance.
Also, will support for all department goals, task, projects, budget and finance targets. Will work with all software platform as Winchill, Infor, Ariba, SAP, TPM, dashboard and others. Support or lead tasks related with building and utilities equipment, maintenance execution, projects, installation, labors, materials, Contractors, infor and others.
Liaison between the Facilities and Quality Department, responsible for investigations, CAPAs, and department compliance.
What You’ll Do
+ Support the planning and execution of the preventive maintenance program through TPM strategies and tools. Report and administrate the department TPM KPI’s as Dashboard, Quick View, Infor reports and others to monitor and implement strategies such as PMO to optimize results. Support QDR and QMR reports.
+ Oversees and coordinate the contractor’s execution and performance, based on Abbott politics and compliance.
+ Serve as a liaison with the Quality Department as well with Facilities by conducting investigations, identify events root causes, CAPA’s and any other documentation to comply with regulatory requests, lead readiness for audits.
+ Plan, request and execute Capital and non-capital projects related to the Facilities area, Occasional support to Operations will be necessary.
+ Responsible for maintaining facilities operation including facilities equipment, areas conditions, utilities, and amenities.
+ Facilities and equipment emergency repairs to maintain site operations or area conditions.
+ Develops criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
+ Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with cGMP and cGLP practices and projects preferred. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
+ Works on problems of significant scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
+ Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
+ Has a good knowledge of technical alternatives and a strong understanding of facilities and utilities systems and how they impact the environment.

The base pay for this position is $44,700.00 – $89,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
