If you like solving problems and working with complex materials and systems, join our amazing team! As a Structural Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to design, evaluate, and certify our cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll examine complex metallic and composite structures and systems. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
+ Act as a communication link between engineering teams and departments.
+ Facilitate the smooth exchange of information and technical requirements among different project stakeholders.
+ Coordinate project timelines, specifications, and requirements with engineering teams.
+ Identify and resolve any communication or technical barriers between teams.
+ Document and track project progress to ensure alignment with objectives.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to engineering teams.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of engineering solutions.
+ Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to management.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
+ Collaborate with external partners and vendors to meet project goals.
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
+ Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
+ Understanding of engineering principles and practices
+ Knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering tools
+ Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
+ Experience to Static and/or Dynamic Analyses
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Experience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS
+ Experience performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis utilizing tools such as NASGRO or AFGROW
+ Ability to perform classical analysis using industry standard hand calculation methods
+ Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes
+ Ability to author substantiation reports
+ Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
+ Experience with Boeing (prefer 747) aircraft configuration
+ Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) knowledge
+ Experience with high temperature materials selection
+ Broad experience across a range of aircraft programs
+ Hands-on experience with manufacturing
+ Practical aircraft knowledge (pilots license, A&P, etc.)
