This position supports Truist Mortgage adherence to regulatory requirements of appraisal review. Communicates with Collateral Review Supervisors, Analysts, and other internal and external stakeholders. Reviews valuations to ensure Truist policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements, are followed. Reviews data from the Collateral Management System to monitor and communicate with appraisal management companies and internal leadership to meet quality and regulatory requirements. Reviews of escalated and complex residential valuations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
+ Supports the Collateral Review Team providing second tier review of property valuations. These reviews range in risk complexity and include appraisals and valuation to ensure compliance with Federal law and Truist policy and ensure loans- lines secured with real estate are protected with adequate collateral value.
+ Ability to determine level of risk and support team in making judgment decisions of when to order a second appraisal or when to contact vendor for additional clarification information due to missing or unclear information sited on the property valuation-appraisal.
+ Provide guidance to all the Collateral team members with questions and issues. Effectively communicate with the Fulfillment Center teammates for additional information, as needed.
+ Correspond with appraisers and/or vendors to ensure issues are satisfactorily resolved.
+ Partner with the Chief Review Appraiser and Collateral Ops Manager to provide clear communication/interaction between collateral review teams.
+ Handle high level escalations relating to appraisal review. Primary focus of role is on day-to-day deliverables, developing and delivering subject expertise.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

+ High School diploma or equivalent Seven or more years of mortgage appraisal experience.
+ Completion of required training within set timeframe permitted.
+ Candidates must be a state certified or licensed appraiser.
+ Excellent organization skills and ability to develop a solid understanding of the mortgage process and procedures.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Three or more years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field Certified Appraiser for seven or more years MS Office, FNC Collateral Management System, Appraisal knowledge
