Education / Training:

Key Job Elements:
• Develop and drive strategic business and product development strategies within North America for the freight car services business unit;
• Build and instruct a high performing team capable of delivering high level strategic planning to provide revenue and profitable growth;
• Assist the sales team witch certain technical aspects of offerings, allowing them to present commercial offerings that have a clear rate of return for both the customer and PR;
• Establish creative proposal concepts;
• Support commercial team members with customer meetings and pitches as needed;
• Be a mentor and provide hands-on coaching and professional development for new and existing team members;
• Proactive collaboration within PRS to leverage capabilities of certain freight car services units;
• Identify potential for key growth within certain freight car services business units;
• Contribute to competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities in the NA Railcar fleet and leasing operations;
• Research and understand emerging customer behaviors and technologies that may impact Progress Rail freight car services business;
• Help to facilitate a higher level of engagement for Railroad network operations, transportation, and IT to drive customer value strategies that go beyond traditional touch points;
• Collect and manage competitive intelligence for North America;
• Help to identify and solve difficult and challenging issues that affect freight car services across North America.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Strong knowledge of NA customers and products with at least 15 years of experience in the Rail Industry;
• Strong knowledge of PR products and services;
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;
• Willingness to travel (up to 50%).
