    Join the Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center \(LAIC\) and be part of a multidisciplinary AI Red Team dedicated to ensuring the security, compliance, resilience, and responsible deployment of AI systems\.     What you'll be doing:

    • Design and perform Red Team assessments of AI systems, including:

    • AI/ML model risks \(e\.g\., adversarial attacks, LLM prompt injection, data/model leakage\)

    • Infrastructure vulnerabilities \(e\.g\., GPU runtime security, firmware, cloud inference\)

    • Data pipeline risks \(e\.g\., bias, lineage, privacy, compliance gaps\)

    • Develop and maintain automated testing tools and reusable frameworks to evaluate system security, robustness, and compliance across the AI lifecycle

    • Collaborate with AI/ML developers, data scientists, platform engineers, and cybersecurity teams to build robust and secure systems from the ground up

    • Help define red teaming methodologies and best practices aligned with standards such as NIST AI RMF and MITRE ATLAS

    • Stay current on emerging threats, adversarial techniques, and responsible AI principles

    Who are you:

    You are a talented engineer or researcher with a strong technical background in AI/ML, embedded systems, or platform security, and a passion for security and responsible AI\. You enjoy thinking adversarially, breaking complex systems to make them stronger, and exploring the boundaries of modern AI technologies\. With deep experience in at least one relevant domain, you are eager to apply — or grow — a Red Team mindset and make a real impact in the field of AI\.

    The preferred hybrid work locations for this position are Lockheed Martin facilities in Moorestown, NJ, Valley Forge, PA, Denver, CO, Fort Worth, TX, Syracuse, NY, Owego, NY, and Orlando, FL\. Remote work arrangements may be considered for qualified candidates\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Security, or a related field

    • Proficiency in Python, with familiarity in other relevant languages \(e\.g\., C\+\+, C\)

    • Experience with Linux OS and developing on servers

    • Experience in one or more of the following:

    o AI/ML model development or deployment

    o Embedded systems, firmware, or hardware security

    o Secure data engineering, governance, or compliance in AI workflows

    • U\.S\. Citizenship required

    Desired Skills:

    • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks \(e\.g\., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit\-Learn\)

    • Experience building tools or frameworks for ML validation, testing, or compliance

    • Knowledge of adversarial ML techniques or ethical AI risks \(e\.g\., fairness, explainability\)

    • Exposure to MLOps, LLMOps, or secure model deployment practices

    • Familiarity with cloud\-based ML infrastructure and runtime security \(e\.g\., AWS, Azure\)

    • Awareness of AI\-specific risks and standards such as MITRE ATLAS and NIST AI RMF

    • Prior experience in adversarial testing, reverse engineering, or system\-level red teaming is a plus

    **Ability to Work Remotely:** Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

    **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 \- $200,905\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

    **Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short\-Term Disability, Long\-Term Disability, 401\(k\) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays\.

     

    \(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\.

     

    This position is incentive plan eligible\.
