As the Application and Claims Community Nutrition Lead, you will administer the application and claiming processes for the USDA Child Nutrition programs in the division. Duties will include:
+ Review and process site and sponsor applications in line with federal and state requirements.
+ Collaborate with program staff and sponsors.
+ Provide technical assistance and training to internal and external users of state systems as it relates to the applications and claims process for child nutrition programs.
+ Make recommendations to program staff and supervisor regarding applicant participation in nutrition programs.
This position is eligible for telework to applicants who reside in Minnesota or a bordering state. Employees living within 50 miles of the office location listed above will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month.
Minimum Qualifications

Three (3) years of professional experience
OR
A bachelor's or master's degree and two (2) years of professional experience
Work experience that demonstrates the following:
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to foster a high-performing team environment, and to communicate in writing or orally with internal staff and external customers.
+ Experience in managing workload, including task assignment and team collaboration to ensure timely task completion.
+ The ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with USDA Child Nutrition Programs and the state and federal laws and regulations governing them.
+ Experience working with or for an entity that operates a child nutrition program, such as a non-profit organization, school or child care center
+ Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
