    Responsibilities

    The Division of Endocrinology in Florida is seeking a candidate for a full-time faculty position committed to clinical and academic excellence with the desire to work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team including advanced practice providers, certified diabetes educators, and GME trainees of various levels and other relevant medical specialties.

     

    Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville is ranked #1 in Florida by U.S. News & World Report’s 2021-2022 “Best Hospitals” rankings; and provides cutting-edge, tertiary level endocrine care in a multi-disciplinary collaborative setting that places the needs of the patient first. The successful candidate will join a division comprised of 9 board-certified endocrinologists, 7 nurse practitioners and a two-year ACGME accredited fellowship in endocrinology -- an atmosphere that fosters on-site collaboration with multiple specialists, focuses on teamwork and integrity, and promotes high quality care for patients all in pursuance of the success of Mayo Clinic’s “Bold. Forward. 2030” strategic plan.

     

    The academic practice at Mayo Clinic Florida is considered a regional center of excellence and destination medical center, offering diverse career opportunities in education, regenerative medicine, subspecialty clinics, innovation in partnership with the newly established Innovation Exchange, as well as engagement in research, clinical trials, administration, and leadership roles. This opportunity is part of an academically oriented practice combined with clinical research opportunities. Attention will be given to those applicants with expertise in the field of Bone Disorders, Transplant Endocrinology, or Inpatient Diabetes Management but other clinical endocrinology areas of interest also will be strongly considered.

    Qualifications

    The candidate must have competed an ACGME approved fellowship in Endocrinology and be ABIM BE/BC in Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism and eligible for a Medical License in the state of Florida.
