Job Description:
The Food Service Supervisor will direct and manage the food service program that fulfills federal, local and state regulations, provides nutritious, high-quality meals to all customer groups, and cooperates with the staff in special meals and catering needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; – Two (2) years school district food service experience; – One (1) year successful experience in school food service management; – Food handler certification; – Demonstrated knowledge of food services rules and regulations to meet federal, state and local guidelines; – Ability to operate and maintain institutional equipment; – Knowledge in budget development and financial management; – Knowledge of personnel management skills and leadership; and – Expertise in USDA and TDA regulations and rules regarding school meals.
Preferred Education and Experience:

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, Dietetics, or a related field.
+ Three (3) years of experience in institutional or school food service operations.
+ Experience with USDA child nutrition programs, including the National School Lunch Program ( NSLP ) and associated nutritional and reporting requirements.
+ Experience supervising and training food service staff.
+ Certification in ServSafe® or equivalent food safety and sanitation training.
