About the Team:

ZF is a global technology company supplying advanced mobility products and systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and industrial technology. Its comprehensive product range is primarily aimed at vehicle manufacturers, mobility providers and start-up companies in the fields of transportation and mobility. The Program Buyer is responsible for purchasing tasks in project phase and in series production in the region, driving purchasing process improvement.

What you can look forward to as a Program Buyer:

+ Support projects and operations as central purchasing function while fostering profitable vendor relationships.

+ Operate as purchasing function across the entire product/service life cycle and guarantee that suppliers’ commercial issues are solved.

+ Administer and maintain supplier and material master data in SAP.

+ Place purchase orders / scheduling agreements and communicate customer requirements like volume forecasting etc. to suppliers.

+ Negotiate and settle agreements with suppliers for General Purchase Contracts, Warranty Agreements as well as other related, required written agreements.

+ Conduct quoting activities and set standard costs to guarantee best total cost for the assigned commodities.

+ Reconcile differences in price, quantity, or specifications that may have an effect on invoices and clarify price differences between customer and supplier prices (e.g. via SAP “price list”).

+ Support cross functions according to the ZFFCN Escalation Matrix and perform special projects and related duties as assigned.

Your Profile as a Program Buyer:

+ Business or combined engineering & business degree (or equivalent)

+ Min. 3 years of professional experience in purchasing or project management

+ Proficient computer skills with experience in SAP and Excel

+ Clear and effective communication and negotiation skills

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of cost analysis

+ Flexibility in responding to changing circumstances like market shifts or supply chain disruptions

+ Possess experience in a global business environment and demonstrate strong intercultural understanding

+ Professional English skills (verbal and written)

+ Willingness to travel
