**Our client** , a leading golf products company, is seeking a **CNC Operator/Machinist** to join their team. As a CNC Operator/Machinist, you will be part of the **Engineering Technology department** , supporting both R&D and production teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset that aligns well with the organization.

**Job Title:** CNC Operator/Machinist

**Location:** New Bedford, MA

**Pay Range:** Competitive + 10% shift differential (for second shift)

**Shift:** 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

What’s the Job?

+ Set up and operate **CNC Lathes, Mills, Wire EDM, and Ram EDM machines** to fabricate parts for manufacturing equipment and golf ball mold cups

+ Adjust offsets, speeds, and feeds to meet **tolerance and surface finish** standards

+ Download programs and set up cutting tools and work-holding solutions (e.g., collets or jaws)

+ Conduct inspections using **precision measuring tools** to verify part conformance

+ Detect equipment malfunctions and make in-process adjustments to maintain quality

+ Perform routine preventive maintenance, including checking coolant, oil levels, and lubrication

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment aligned with company safety standards

What’s Needed?

+ CNC Machinist training or completion of a **CNC Machinist program** at a technical school

+ Minimum **5 years’ experience in CNC setup** , including lathes, 5-axis mills, and EDMs

+ Knowledge of **blueprint reading** and **Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)**

+ Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators

+ Strong basic math and geometry skills

+ Ability to troubleshoot, modify programs, and adjust machine parameters

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

+ Must maintain a positive and professional work environment
