    Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has multiple openings for Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. These positions will be located in Baltimore, MD, and placement will be commensurate with qualifications.

     

    This individual will lead a cross-discipline engineering team typically greater than 10 people for a medium to high-risk project and interface with Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance.

    Typical Responsibilities:

    + Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases

    + Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts

    + Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership

    + Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts

    + Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing

    + Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements

    + Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned

     

    The selected candidates will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidates are expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

     

    This role is contingent upon holding an Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SAP Clearance.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Active and current DoD Secret Government Clearance and program SAP clearance.

    + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM-related discipline with 14 years of industry experience, or Master's Degree and 12 years of industry experience, or 10 years of experience with a Ph.D. An additional 4 years of experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.

    + Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills

    + Engineering leadership experience in a team environment delivering and integrating system bench, RFTG, environmental stress screening and related test equipment

    + Strong understanding of the Design, Manufacturing and Test process.

    + Fluency with developing and executing project schedules

    + Expert CAM implementing EVMS, managing scope using change management, and teaching/mentoring others

    + Strong Mentor and advisor, being called upon by program managers, executives management, and functional managers to support key programs and proposal.

    + Demonstrated, extensive expertise capturing executable plans, supporting program baselines, interfacing with program management and customers, and driving teams to meet cost, schedule and technical requirements while demonstrating sound technical and programmatic judgment.

    + Expertise and experience with Risk and Opportunity management.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in development of complex RF or Digital systems and sub-systems

    + Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projects valuing over $150M managed value.

    + PMP certification a plus

    + Active and current Top Secret government clearance a plus

    + Program or Deputy Program Management experience a plus

     

    Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,600.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
