Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining our accounts payable processes with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. If you are detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a strong background in financial operations, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding in the accounting system.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate financial records.

• Conduct regular check runs and ensure timely payment to vendors.

• Enter data into financial systems with precision and attention to detail.

• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address and resolve payment issues.

• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities for audit purposes.

• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Chromeriver, and 3E to streamline accounts payable functions.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and invoice processing.

• Strong skills in data entry with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

• Hands-on experience with check runs and coding invoices in accounting systems.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with Chromeriver systems is highly preferred.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
