    Description

    Are you an experienced payroll specialist with a remarkable track record of handling multi-state payroll for hundreds of employees? We are seeking a Payroll Associate to join our client's team on a three-month contract. As part of a dedicated payroll department working alongside three other payroll specialists, you'll provide vital support in ensuring smooth payroll operations and compliance for a workforce of 600-700 employees.

    Responsibilities:

    + Oversee Payroll Processing: Lead and audit multi-state, weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls using ADP Vantage, UKG Workforce Management, and Kronos iSeries software to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

    + Timekeeping Audits: Run daily reports to audit timekeeping practices for multiple plant locations and address discrepancies.

    + Garnishments Compliance: Support lien and garnishment processing in compliance with company standards and external garnishment services.

    + 401(k) Management: Compile and reconcile 401(k) contribution data to provide detailed reporting to our third-party vendor efficiently and accurately.

    + Reporting and Analysis: Generate payroll reports for auditing and reconciliations, and assist management in identifying areas for process improvement.

    + Additional Responsibilities: Perform other payroll-related tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of payroll operations.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in complex multi-state payroll operations.

    + Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ADP Vantage, UKG Workforce Management, and Kronos iSeries.

    + Demonstrated ability to work with payroll for mid-sized organizations (600-700 employees).

    + Familiarity with processing weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll schedules.

    + Experience managing and auditing payroll data across multiple states.

    + Comprehensive understanding of garnishment and lien processes, 401(k), and compliance requirements.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential payroll data securely.

    Preferred Soft Skills:

    + Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.

    + Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly.

    + Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external service providers.

    + Collaborative attitude to work effectively with a small payroll team.
