Job Posting: Collections Specialist

This role is a wonderful opportunity for organized, driven, and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy building relationships while resolving outstanding account balances.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Communicate and proactively with customers regarding overdue accounts to facilitate payments via phone, email, or written communication.

+ Collaborate with internal departments (such as billing and sales) to resolve account discrepancies and disputes efficiently.

+ Maintain clear, accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions in accordance with company policy.

+ Identify areas for improved collection practices and recommend process improvements.

+ Prepare detailed reports for management on account status and collection progress.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Here are the preferred qualifications for this role:

+ Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service is preferred.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive financial conversations professionally and empathetically.

+ Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Workday) is beneficial but not required.

+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is a plus but is not mandatory.
