Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in Vacaville, California. In this contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate payable records, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively across departments to support smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Review invoices for proper documentation, approval, and ledger coding prior to processing payments.

• Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices, validating and resolving any variances.

• Prioritize invoices based on payment terms and cash discount opportunities to optimize financial outcomes.

• Process check requests, prepare wire transfer details, and secure necessary authorizations for timely payment execution.

• Match invoices to checks, obtain required signatures, and distribute payments accordingly.

• Address vendor inquiries promptly and professionally, resolving discrepancies and fostering positive relationships.

• Maintain accurate and organized documentation and files in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors to ensure clarity and efficiency in financial transactions.

• Reconcile monthly vendor statements, monitoring outstanding balances and discrepancies.

• Collaborate with the finance team to support audits and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements • Associate degree in Accounting or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; a bachelor's degree is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong data analysis skills.

• Experience with integrated accounts payable and general ledger systems.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing invoices and reconciling accounts.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

• Familiarity with NetSuite and Concur software is highly desirable.
