Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Safety is paramount in this role, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. You will troubleshoot and repair machinery and industrial equipment, direct the work of assigned helpers, and work from prints, drawings, sketches, written and/or verbal instructions. Completing work orders, notifying leadership when repairs are required, and installing equipment are key components of this position. Familiarity with equipment installed under contractual services is expected, as is performing facility maintenance tasks such as plumbing and wiring. Preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment is also required, including presses, punches, CNC machinery, forklifts, yard trucks, and other equipment. You will use various tools and test equipment for troubleshooting/repair and daily work, and work with material handling devices to transport materials to and from work locations.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and repair machinery and industrial equipment.

+ Direct the work of assigned helpers.

+ Complete work orders and notify leadership of required repairs.

+ Install equipment, run wires, and establish distribution boxes.

+ Perform facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing and wiring.

+ Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.

+ Use tools and test equipment for troubleshooting and repair.

+ Transport materials using material handling devices.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical and electrical knowledge.

+ Troubleshooting and maintenance technician skills.

+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Proficiency in repair and preventive maintenance.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

+ PLC troubleshooting and control knowledge.

+ Experience with 3-phase motors and industrial automation.

+ AC & DC motor knowledge and experience.

+ Preferred experience with Logic Controller troubleshooting.

+ Formal electrical safety knowledge.

+ Operation of forklift, mobile crane, and other mobile equipment.

Work Environment and Shift

The work environment is an outdoor, hot, and dirty industrial setting.

You will be required to wear PPE, including steel-toe boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, and a reflective vest.

Shift:

Monday - Thursday

4:30PM - 3AM

Must be open to training on day shift for 2-3 weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
