    Job Description

    Mission Technology, a division of HII, is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Mission Coordinator located in Altoona, FL in support of the NITE Contract and the Pincastle Range Complex (PRC) Live Bombing Tactical Training Range. The Mission Coordinator position assists the PRC Contract Site Manager and provides direction with daily training operations. Plans, coordinate, brief, execute, conduct analysis, and develop debrief reports for LVC training missions in support of customer requirements. Assists in overall range operations in accordance with contract requirements. Directs the work of all contractor range personnel including Range Operations and Maintenance, Logistics, and Range Support functions, directly or through supervisors. Establishes and implements technical, administrative, and financial controls for contractor operations and support in accordance with contract requirements. Responsible for quality of all contractor range functions, to include operations, logistics support, technical library, security, transportation, training, safety, supply, quality assurance, and facility services. Complies with contract requirements and takes action when necessary to correct deficiencies. Participates in exercise planning meetings and recommendations to the OCE potential scenarios and ways to maximize LVC training. Coordinates with other commands as directed by leadership for development of LVC missions. May be required to travel to support other Training Range locations worldwide. Shift work may be required to meet the needs of the customer and ensure mission readiness is maintained at all times based on mission schedule and Fleet requirements. Supports government-sponsored meetings, briefings, and reviews as required. Ensures coordination and cooperation with other contractors/government agencies when required, in the following areas: security, training and materials, inspections, range schedules, system-level checks, fault isolation, property accountability, new equipment integration, storage space, files, data, and other records information. Coordinates range scheduling with the government representatives as required. Oversees scheduling of work assignment and workloads in accordance with operational tasking and maintenance requirements. Schedules personnel to ensure adequate coverage of all tasks, utilizing staggered schedules as necessary to minimize overtime. Supports users and supporting groups in the development and conduct of live missions. Provides recommendations to improve or expand all facets of operations to include maintenance, overhaul, engineering, and logistics support. Provides economy of operation by improvement of work methods and procedures. Ensures employees conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner at all times and adhere to applicable government regulations. Resolves personnel problems and situations within range activities. Evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Reports directly to the PRC Contract Site Manager.

     

    Essential Job Responsibilities

     

    Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises. Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives. Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force. Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives. Applies emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development. Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine. Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or

    + 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field or

    + 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field or

    + High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

    + Nine years’ experience in tactical training systems and/or aviation operations.

    + Five years’ management or supervisory experience, with increasing levels of responsibility, directly related to aircrew training ranges, ordnance ranges, and supporting infrastructure.

    + Technically savvy and proficiency with all Microsoft products

    + Proficient in Maximo
