**The 7th Floor Medical Surgical** department at St. Anthony Hospital is a medical surgical unit where we primarily treat septic patients. Our department has 36 beds, and we see a range of surgical patients, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis and treat many chronic conditions such as COPD and CHF. We have a great culture focused on teamwork and positivity. Our nurse communication scores have been some of the highest in the hospital. We are an innovative unit, often where hospital-wide projects begin.

We are looking for dynamic, hard-working people, who are looking for a strong medical surgical floor. We look for those who have a vested interest in our department’s mission. Candidates must have a positive attitude, open communication skills, be hard-working, dedicated, and accountable.

As an RN Clinical Coordinator you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit. You will not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures and assign duties, shift charge, as well as:

+ Support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line.

+ Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards.

+ Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team.

+ Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments.

+ Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties.

+ Provide input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.

+ Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.

Weekend Option Commitment & Differential

+ RN Weekend Option position requires six month commitment to working weekend schedule. $10/hr weekend option differential applies for Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Licensure/Education Requirements

+ RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required

+ Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

+ One year of RN experience is required

+ Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Physical Requirements

+ Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
