DESCRIPTION
The Director of Client Development is responsible for managing and growing strategic client relationships within Acosta’s consumer sales business. Acting as the primary point of contact, this role leads the coordination of sales initiatives, ensuring alignment with client objectives while identifying new opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder who can translate client needs into effective strategies that deliver measurable results. This is a newly created role due to the continued growth of Health/Beauty.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Serve as the senior client contact across assigned accounts, managing day-to-day communications and long-term partnership strategy.
* Build and expand trusted relationships with key client stakeholders across marketing, sales, and executive levels.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts to deepen engagement and drive revenue growth.
* Facilitate strategic planning sessions with clients to understand business goals and align Acosta’s services accordingly.
* Develop, present, and manage strategic marketing and promotional programs tailored to client objectives.
* Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives across creative, media, and retail channels.
* Analyze client performance data to provide insights, track ROI, and adjust plans as needed.
* Coordinate cross-functional support to deliver integrated solutions that create added value for clients.
* Proactively resolve issues, anticipate challenges, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
* Support the development of new tools, processes, and offerings that strengthen client engagement and retention.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field.
Experience:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in client services, business development, or brand management within consumer-packaged goods or agency environments.
Skills & Competencies:
+ Strong client relationship management and consultative selling skills.
+ Ability to build credibility quickly and influence key decision-makers.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
+ Proven track record of growing client accounts and identifying upsell opportunities.
+ Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach to problem-solving.
+ Strong organizational and project management abilities.
+ Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with marketing analytics tools and platforms is a plus.
