About This Role:
This Charlotte, NC-based role manages global sourcing for Box Builds and Control Boxes, including Tier 2 components like wire harnesses, sensors, and power components, with a category spend of ~$150M. The position drives sourcing strategy, cost optimization, and supplier performance, while collaborating cross-functionally to support product innovation, supply chain efficiency, and long-term growth.
Job Description:
+ Manages Global Box Builds, Control Box, including supporting Tier 2 Components like Wire Harness, Sensors, and Power Components, category spend for approximately $ 150M.
+ Providing strategy input to category managers on to Tier 2 components for Electronics & Electro-Mechanical.
+ Develop and manage Box Builds & Control Box Contract Manufacturing Costed Bill of Materials.
+ Responsible for building short and long-term Control Box categories strategy to ensure operational excellence and efficiencies are met.
+ Establishes a cross-functional network and fosters collaboration with suppliers, wider supply chain organization, engineering, quality, and product management.
+ Owns the vendor performance data and reports metrics to leadership.
+ Develops and implements a category strategy which optimizes affordability, availability, agility, and innovation. Leverages understanding of similar industry, sourcing concepts, and Lean tools to ensure parts delivered on time at best cost and quality.
+ Manages external relationships with suppliers and assumes responsibility for all internal activities and decisions associated with category and suppliers, including contract negotiations, new products development, approved vendor list, RFX, re-sourcing, dual qualification, pricing changes, quality, and capacity.
+ Collaborate within the Global Strategic Sourcing team and across Product Management and Engineering to align on long-term strategy, technology roadmap, and risk mitigation.
+ Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
+ Continuously evaluate supplier category markets to evaluate new suppliers, report on market conditions, and understand trends related to cost drivers and global pricing, to ensure our strategic sourcing competitiveness.
+ Work with suppliers and internal teams to identify VA/VE opportunities and lead initiatives to drive cost-out, eliminate inefficiencies, and achieve supply surety.
+ Will work closely with Engineering, Quality, and NPI teams to enhance our global product generation process to ensure we incorporate our strategic supplier partnerships in our new product innovation process.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 10+ years’ experience in sourcing environment and familiarity with industrial operations
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, finance, or business
+ MBA or professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM)
+ Strategic sourcing experience in Electrical & Electronics Components, PCBA, Box Builds, Control Boxes
+ Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
+ Experience with strategic sourcing and lean tools
+ Digital dexterity and ability to leverage data
+ Strong knowledge of supply chain strategy (development and execution) and category specific experience
+ Independently driven problem solver with appetite to address complex challenges in a fast-moving environment.
+ Proven track record of successful leadership, negotiation, and strategic communication
+ Strong business acumen and experience collaborating across various levels within a diverse, global organization.
