    Position Summary

    Responsible for assisting physician, nurses, and office coordinator with clinical duties and providing the healthcare team with medical assistant services and clerical duties required to maintain a high level of patient care.

    Primary Position Responsibilities

    1. Admits Patients

    2. Assists physicians and nurse practitioners with physical examinations

    3. Schedules patient appointments

    4. Triages patient phone calls

    5. Provides administrative support as needed

    Reports to (position):

    Office Supervisor

    Supervises (position(s):

    Medical Assistant Certification required; must have CPR certification or obtain within 6 months

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    Required:

    High School Diploma or Equivalent

     

    Medical Assistant Certification

    Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

    Required: None

    Preferred: Medical Assisting experience strongly desirable

    License, Registry or Certification:

    Required: Medical Assistant Certification required; must have CPR certification or obtain within 6 months

    Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

    Computer Skills

    Pediatric experience
