    **Various schedules available.

    **Weekend incentive pay available for relevant schedules.

    The CT Tech is responsible for the following:

    + Performs routine imaging examinations in CT on a scheduled and emergency basis.

    + Reviews and evaluates requisitions for CT imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for CT examinations.

    + Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.

    + Performs basic imaging analysis (e.g. 3D).

    + Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.

    + Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develops plan for adjusting to patients' specific needs.

    + Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA.

    + Consistently provides exceptional care and exceptional service.

    + Follows Departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations

    + Practices High Reliability Training.

    + Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.

    + Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions.

    + Assists in organizing and maintaining daily operations of section.

    + Participates in departmental and hospital meetings.

    + Completes all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

    + Complies with ETU.

    + Complies with HIPAA regulations.

    + Practices the 6 core values of the Hospital; excellence, innovation, communication, respect, teamwork and accountability.

    + Furthers professional education and maintains knowledge of current regulations and standards, policies and procedures.

    + Maintains up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental file.

    The CT Tech must have the following:

    + RT/CT Massachusetts State License

    + Advanced CT Massachusetts State License is required within 12 months of hire date for CT trainees.

    + RT/CT registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)

    + Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification.

    + BLS certification

    + Associates degree in Allied Health

    + 1 year of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist
