    The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented **System Design & Integration Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior)** to join the team in **Portland, OR.**

     

    As the Design and Integration Specialist, you will take the helm in architecting, designing, building, and testing innovative delivery systems and components that are essential to the success of Boeing Fabrication factories. In this influential role, your technical expertise will be invaluable as you collaborate with business partners and stakeholders, providing insightful answers to complex technical questions related to the usage, troubleshooting, and functionality of our delivery systems products. Your commitment to excellence will ensure that every implementation of Boeing products is not only effective but also optimized for peak performance. By leading these critical activities, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our manufacturing processes, driving efficiency, and enhancing the overall quality of our operations.     Position Responsibilities:

    + Applies knowledge of computing systems to choose appropriate configuration, troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex delivery systems challenges

    + Collaborates with operations, engineering, and Information Technology (IT) teams to gather requirements that ensure systems meet production and process requirements

    + Consults and supports manufacturing equipment and production processes

    + Ensures robust system security practices, including access control, patch management, and network segmentation for Operational Technology (OT) environments

    + Ensures system architecture aligns with company identified best practices and policies

    + Monitors system performance, performing root cause analysis, and implementing improvements

    + Engages in the evaluation and rollout of new technologies to enhance factory automation and data collection

    + Interprets, develops, and maintains IT documentation for system designs, network diagrams, and configuration standards

    + Looks over inventory management, movement and deployment, installation of equipment, implementing requirements gathered by IT Business Partners and working with on-site leadership

    + Provides technical leadership to evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments

    + Chooses appropriate computing products and methods to ensure requirements are met for security, capacity/performance and operational management

    + Documents resolutions/analyses according to support procedures

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + 3+ years of experience within information technology

    + 3+ years of experience with working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

    + 1+ years of experience with problem solving production issues within a factory setting

    + 1+ years of experience with Factory Technology Integration

    + Experience working with mechanics (i.e. airplane) and related functions to solve technical issues

    + Experience with light scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine tasks, data flows between systems, and improve system reliability.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Experience working on complex projects with large teams to execute requirements that includes engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and quality

    + Experience implementing a range of IT products in support of a variety of functions: engineering, manufacturing, quality, and/or supply chain

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

     

    Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $108,800 - $147,200

     

    Summary pay range for Senior: $$129,200 - $174,800
