Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our client's finance team in Fort Worth, Texas. As part of a rapidly growing public medical technology company, this role will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting process improvements. The ideal candidate will combine technical accounting expertise with leadership skills to drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
• Manage the General Ledger to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Prepare and review reconciliations for key accounts to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist in drafting financial statements and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC standards.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and tools to align with the company’s growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial reporting and compliance requirements are met.
• Lead financial projects, including due diligence and acquisition integration activities.
• Supervise a small team, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a mix of public accounting and corporate roles.
• Familiarity with US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance standards.
• Proficiency in accounting tools and systems; experience with NetSuite is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Experience in managing teams, setting clear objectives, and ensuring successful execution of goals.
