Key Responsibilities:
+ Outpatient cardiology clinic ~8 sessions per week in the NOC and outreach sites
+ 12 Saturday clinics per year (1 clinic session or 0.5 day clinic)
+ ~2 weeknights of cardiology call per month

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
_Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire._
_This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:_
_Assistant Professor:_
+ _Doctorate degree (MD or DO)_
+ _Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology._
+ _Ability to obtain CO medical license_
+ _DEA certificate_
+ _0-6 years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic promotion_
_Associate Professor:_
+ _Doctorate degree (MD or DO)_
+ _Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology._
+ _Ability to obtain CO medical license_
+ _DEA certificate_
+ _6 or more years of clinical experience_
+ _Prior experience with program development, teaching or research_
+ _Examples of scholarship_
_Professor:_
+ _Doctorate degree (MD or DO)_
+ _Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology._
+ _Ability to obtain CO medical license_
+ _DEA certificate_
+ _10 or more years of clinical experience_
+ _Proven experience with program development, teaching or research_
+ _Distinguished scholarship_
_Condition of Employment:_
+ _Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado_
+ _Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check_

Pediatric Cardiologist - Open Rank - 37009 Faculty
The Cardiologist will perform general outpatient cardiology duties and may be expected to participate in inpatient cardiology care and consultation as well as Community education and networking.
- this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado and NOC/regional locations.
As the largest pediatric heart program in the region, we have performed more than 675 heart surgeries and about 1,000 heart catheterization every year since 2017. Our highly specialized pediatric heart surgeons and interventional cardiologists take on the most complex congenital heart defects (https://apptrkr.com/get\_redirect.php?id=6284743&targetURL=https://www.childrenscolorado.org/conditions-and-advice/conditions-and-symptoms/conditions/congenital-heart-defects-chd/) (CHDs) and childhood heart (https://apptrkr.com/get\_redirect.php?id=6284743&targetURL=https://www.childrenscolorado.org/doctors-and-departments/departments/heart/conditions-we-treat/) and achieve some of the best results in the nation. The Society of Thoracic Surgery requires a hospital to perform at least 250 heart surgeries per year to be considered a high-volume center. By far exceeding this, we gain more experience, which leads to better outcomes.
