    Location:

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

     

    This role will be located in Sunnyvale, CA.

    Responsibilities:

    • Leading a team of 12-20 AI Engineers, Technical Leads, and/or Managers.

    • Work closely with various other teams (Product, Applications, Infrastructure, Vertical AI teams, etc.) to align on initiatives, leveraging existing solutions, and ensure optimal collaboration.

    • Participate in key technical and design discussions with Technical Leads in the team.

    • Operate best engineering and scientific practices & processes to ensure productivity of the team and drive faster iterations via A/B experiments.

    • Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of industry experience in AI, Machine Learning, or related domains.

    • 3+ years of experience in technical engineering management and people management

    • BA/BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical technical experience

    • Hands on experience in data modeling and machine learning

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of relevant professional experience

    • 5+ years of experience leading engineering or AI/ML teams

    • At least one year of experience managing other managers and/or technical leads.

    • Domain experience in recommendation systems

    • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related fields

    Compensation:

    LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $233,000 - $315,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
