    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Government Controls and Compliance Specialist supports the company's industrial security and controlled information protection programs which includes reviewing guidance in the execution of physical, personnel, information, and industrial programs to ensure compliance with government regulations\. This position will pursue and carry\-out the complexity of requirements levied by Cognizant Security Agencies and Offices\. This position will assist with authoring and modernizing security plans, procedures, and instructions for the protection of classified, sensitive, and controlled unclassified information\. The Government Controls and Compliance Specialist will assist with personnel security investigations and perform information access control responsibilities\. This position further involves the administration of classified information systems and requires close coordination with the Information Technology team in the application of security as it relates to classified and sensitive unclassified information processing and related systems\. The Government Controls and Compliance Specialist will provide expertise, guidance, training, and support to employees at all levels of the organization concerning all aspects of the company's government controls and compliance policies, procedures, and practices\. This position requires guided judgment and discretion, as well as the identification and resolution of industrial security related matters\. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

     

    Serves as the Alternate Facility Security Officer \(AFSO\) to maintain industrial security continuity\.Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Contractor's industrial security program as directed by Title 32 CFR, Part 117 \(National Industrial Security Program\)\.Applies and monitors government and company security policies, as well as provide guidance with regards to these program security regulations\.Executes personnel security clearance processes in compliance with cognizant security agency direction\.Aids in the execution of an active Security Awareness and Insider Threat program\.Prepares and delivers tailored security and threat briefings in support of company personnel with international travel requirements\.Provides ad hoc support responding to security requirements from internal and external customers; ensure they meet compliance of government security directives\.Prepares and maintains physical security requirements and maintain certification and accreditation for classified spaces\.Provides security support to management and security support services for Contracts \(for Prime and Subcontracts\)\.Participates in Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency \(DCSA\) inspections and audits\.Assists in the process of Controlled Unclassified Information \(CUI\) marking, protection, education, and tracking\.Liaises with outside agencies to provide relevant and timely threat information to key personnel\.Updates and maintains Industrial Security policies, processes, and procedures as directed\.Performs other duties as required\.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum 2 years industrial security and US Government information protection relative experience required\. **QUALIFICATIONS:**

     

    Must be a U\.S\. CitizenMust be able to qualify for a DoD Security clearance\.Must complete DoD FSO certification within 180 days of appointment\.Must be familiar with the Defense Information System for Security \(DISS\), National Background Investigation Services \(NBIS\), National Industrial Security Program \(NISP\) Central Access Information Security System \(NCAISS\), National Industrial Security System \(NISS\), Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service \(eMASS\), and Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission \(SWFT\) web applications\.Must be able to work flexible hours to include some weekends and holidays\.Able to make data driven decisions\.Must have effective communication and language skills\.Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner\.Can work efficiently and effectively in a stressed environment\.Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, \(MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe\), and Outlook\.
