    Job Summary

    The intern will contribute in key ways to learning sciences research at the NHMU , including by collecting, organizing, cleaning, and analyzing a variety of qualitative and quantitative data. The intern will collaborate with the Curator of Learning Sciences on one or more research projects that try to understand how Museum visitors make sense of complex ideas about the natural world.

    Responsibilities

    Job responsibilities include: conducting interviews with Museum visitors, recording observational data through audio or video, transcribing audio and video data, cleaning survey data, and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data with innovative methods, including advanced mixed-methods analyses, computational text analyses, and predictive quantitative analyses. The Curator of Learning Sciences will supervise and support the intern by meeting weekly to provide feedback and discuss new ideas.
