Caterpillar’s Global Construction & Infrastructure Division (GCI) is hiring a **Sales Manager** for The Midwest District. This role has 7 direct reports and supports all dealers in the district. If you’re looking for a leadership role loaded with impact, this is a great role for you.
**Role Summary:** Lead a team of Caterpillar field reps, supporting Cat dealers and customers to increase customer loyalty and influence machine sales.
What You’ll Do
+ Act as a single point of contact for warranty, prime product sales, and machine application support.
+ Supports and develops product sales, dealer effectiveness, overall segment growth, warranty policy, etc.
+ Influences upper management within dealerships to adapt or change policies, implement marketing/sales programs, hire personnel and organizational structure changes.
+ Train, recruit, develop and mentor team members.
+ Deliver business plan sales and market share targets for the company products in the Seattle district
+ Develop sales and marketing plan and manage merchandising plans to achieve business plan targets for company products and services.
+ Ensure customer satisfaction through management of product and commercial issues; Oversee service goodwill spending on all products within the industry segment.
+ Lead the selling opportunities identification, customer satisfaction improvement and business relationship enhancement.
+ Deliver GCI Retail business plan sales and market share targets for the for the six dealers in the Midwest territory.
What You Have
+ Extensive Industry Knowledge: thorough knowledge of company products and product applications, merchandising programs, and/or warranty practices and procedures
+ Extensive Decision Making and Critical Thinking skills
+ Strong Relationship Management and Effective Communication skills
+ Strong Customer Focus: Extensive and progressive experience in positions that required dealer or customer facing activities
+ Strong Value selling and Business Development capabilities
+ Strong Negotiation skills
Top Candidates Will Also Have
+ Progressive positions held in sales or technical field roles
+ Sales variance management experience
+ Contract management experience
+ Prior formal or informal leadership experience
Additional Details
+ Travel extensively within region (50%+) is required
+ Work location: Bloomington, Minnesota
+ Domestic relocation assistance is available
+ A company vehicle is provided with this role
Summary Pay Range:
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
