POSITION DETAILS
The City University of New York’s Graduate School of Public Health (CUNY SPH) seeks a full-time Academic Program Specialist to support and manage a portfolio of initiatives within the Academic Affairs department, with particular focus on the Sexual and Reproductive Justice (SRJ) Hub. Reporting to the Academic Affairs Manager, the Specialist will play a key role in event planning, stakeholder coordination, administrative support, and project tracking, ensuring smooth and effective execution of projects and initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Assist in the coordination and implementation of Academic Affairs and SRJ Hub projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
+ Provide logistical and coordination support to event planning and execution (both in-person and virtual), including venue booking, vendor coordination, materials preparation, and day-of management.
+ Develop and maintain project trackers, schedules, and documentation in collaboration with the Academic Affairs Manager.
+ Organize and support meetings by scheduling, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking follow-ups.
+ Oversee administrative processes including invoice and payment tracking for events and vendors.
+ Assist in monitoring budgets and resource allocations for assigned projects.
+ Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
+ Support special projects and initiatives within the SRJ Hub including curriculum development, webinar series coordination, and other projects.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Affairs Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and four years' relevant experience required.
Preferred qualifications:
+ At least 3 years of professional experience working in a higher education environment.
+ At least 2 years of professional experience working in a project coordination capacity on issues related to public health and/or sexual and reproductive justice.
+ Demonstrated experience with project management tools such as Asana, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, or another type of tool.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Experience with Zoom and virtual event/webinar coordination.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Participates in the daily coordination of academic and administrative activities of a College's specialized academic program under management direction.
- Supports program development, student service delivery, outcome evaluation and instructor/student recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
- Recommends, implements and evaluates strategies to expand program offerings
- Prepares analytical and statistical reports for management
- Develops and maintains relationships with various College offices to improve student and faculty services
- Serves as resource expert regarding program policies and procedures
- Oversees office recordkeeping; manages updates of program web and print materials
- May supervise office operations and/or department budget
- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range: $68,586-77,092
Salaries will conform to the upcoming salary schedule as applicable.
Position beyond June 30, 2026 is contingent upon available funding.
