AGI Hi Roller manufactures a line of premier commercial enclosed, dust-tight and self-reloading conveyors, designed for installation in grain handling facilities, soy and corn processing operations and industrial operations. It specializes exclusively in the design and application of conveyors which will not only contain dust and spilled materials but will also automatically reload that material back on the carrying surface of the belt.
The Opportunity
Join the Hi Roller team as a Maintenance Technician and play an integral role in keeping critical equipment and our state-of-the-art facility running efficiently.
The Team
Our large production team consists of welders, assemblers, metal fabricators, powder coaters, and more. As a Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Production Manager and work directly with other maintenance professionals as well as production staff to produce top-quality grain conveyors for our customers.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
+ Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
+ Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues as necessary.
+ Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
+ Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions.
+ Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
+ Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
+ Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
+ Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
+ Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
+ Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
+ Provide grounds keeping services, such as landscaping and snow removal.
+ Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.
+ Align and balance new equipment after installation.
+ Install equipment to improve the energy or operational efficiency of manufacturing equipment and machines.
+ Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 5-10 years' progressive experience in facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience maintaining Trumpf equipment (lasers, press brakes and automation) preferred.
+ Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
+ Expertise in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, and other areas of building maintenance.
+ Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
+ Effective communication with internal and external vendors and customers.
+ Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and climbing.
+ Ability to use computer software for scheduling, inventory management, and record-keeping.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
+ Meticulous in performing tasks and identifying potential issues.
+ Ability to collaborate with other staff and contractors.
