What we want
Join the Texas A&M College of Medicine as a Program Coordinator I for the Early Assurance Program! In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the EAP Program Manager in meeting the recruitment and retention goals of the College of Medicine’s pipeline programs. This position also supports the broader programmatic needs of the Office of Admissions.
What you need to know
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.
Location/Travel: This full-time position is located onsite in Bryan, Texas. The selected candidate must be able to travel to recruitment fairs and work with Program Manager and Admissions Deans to promote the school by answering participants questions (usually day trips by car).

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Two years of related experience in office administration or project coordination, including some program coordination and implementation, or related areas
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ Experience working with individuals and communities
+ Experience working in a higher education institution, preferably at a professional school
+ Experience working with college student programs
+ Experience with learning and financial management systems (e.g., eCampus, Canvas)
+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
+ Excellent verbal and written, communication and public speaking skills
+ Ability to develop and deliver presentations to small and large groups
+ Experience advising college-level students
Responsibilities
+ Early Assurance Programs: Assists the Early Assurance Program Manager in the planning and coordination of all Admissions Special Programs such as the Partnership for Primary Care (PPC), the Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP), the Pre-Med Fellows Program (PMF), the engineering to Medicine Program (E2M), Science to Medicine, Agriculture to Medicine, Cadet to Military Medicine and Military to Medicine.
+ Support JAMP Activities: Makes logistical arrangements for the special programs application and interview processes, campus tours, JAMP premed symposiums, and JAMP summer internship.
+ Assists with the planning and implementing of the JAMP Mentoring Youth and Exposure to Medicine program and its evaluation. Coordinates and assists with advising special program participants and student organizations.
+ Participate in Recruiting Events: Assists with making program presentations at recruitment events and informational sessions. Travels to recruitment events as needed. Communicates and corresponds competently and professionally with prospective internal and external constituents.
+ Support Office of Admissions: Assists the staff of the Office of Admissions with events such as tours, hosting interviewees during interview days, and any other activities or initiatives critical to the operations of the Office of Admissions. May supervise student workers as needed.
+ Documentation and Website Updating: Performs advanced word processing, presentation, and data management; helps maintain information about special programs on the Office of Admissions website.
