We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Strategic Planning Analyst within our strategy team to help support our bedding business. As a Strategic Planning Analyst you will have the opportunity to provide market research and insights to key stakeholders across the business and overseeing the development of the segment’s strategic priorities and long-term plans. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by supporting a wide range of market analysis, business intelligence, and strategy development activities. The team you will be working with is collaborative and close knit, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.
So, what will you be doing as a Strategic Planning Analyst?
+ Facilitate thought-provoking strategic conversations and assist and potentially lead Bedding focused business intelligence and strategic projects.
+ Participate in strategy sessions with each Bedding business to establish strategic priorities and set key performance targets.
+ Incorporate strategic initiatives into long-term forecasts and develop long-term scenarios and action plans.
+ Act as a key information partner primarily to Bedding Leadership but also Executive Leadership and Investor Relations, synthesizing data into actionable insights and recommendations to drive value for the business.
+ Help determine what key internal data and external market insights are most impactful to drive business decisions. Establish a routine cadence for efficient collection, analysis, and distribution.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or related field.
+ 3+ years of experience in a business to business, strategy, business intelligence, financial analyst, or similar role, with a preference for experience in business strategy, business intelligence, business analytics, financial analysis, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a related field; experience in bedding or a related market is beneficial
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
+ Ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
+ Ability to analyze multiple inputs and creatively problem solve when data is either incomplete or ambiguous
+ Strong quantitative skills, including experience with data manipulation, synthesis, and visualization tools and techniques with proven ability to draw key insights from disparate data sources
+ Visionary mindset with the ability to see the big picture and drive long-term goals
