    An established Orange County-based boutique law firm—recognized for its high-end work, community reputation, and low turnover—is seeking a trust litigation attorney to join its probate and estate litigation practice. With more than three decades in practice, this full-service firm has a thriving caseload, loyal client base, and a strong footprint in Southern California, with offices in Newport Beach and Del Mar.

     

    This opportunity offers a mix of courtroom work, strategic litigation, and close client interaction. This is not a back-office role—clients meet face-to-face and expect sharp, personable advocacy. The firm provides training, career development, and a proven partnership track for attorneys ready to commit to long-term growth.

    Trust Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:

    + Handle probate and trust litigation matters from A to Z

    + Manage all phases of discovery and draft substantive motions

    + Conduct and defend depositions

    + Prepare for and attend court hearings and trial

    + Directly interface with clients and support case strategy development

    Hours:

    + Billable goal: 120–130 hours/month

    Salary:

    $120K to $200K+ depending on experience

    Significant bonus potential, including:

    + Quarterly bonuses for billable hours

    + Year-end discretionary bonuses

    Benefits:

    + Healthcare: Anthem or Kaiser plans available; firm pays $350/month toward premiums (often fully covers base plan for employee + dependents)

    + PTO: 10 vacation days in year one

    + Sick time: 3 days in year one, increases to 6 days after January 1

    Requirements

    + Licensed in California and in good standing

    + 2+ years of experience as a litigation attorney (any civil litigation considered)

    + Strong discovery and motion practice background

    + Experience or interest in trust/probate litigation

    + Client-facing demeanor with a desire to grow into partnership

    + Willing to work onsite during initial period with eventual remote flexibility
