    Position Summary

    Responsible for various accounting duties including: retail store accounting, payroll, etc

     

    Expected Hours of Work

     

    Typical schedule is Monday - Friday with the rare need for work on Saturdays (during month and year end financial closings)

    Essential Functions

    • Reconcile vending sales monthly including cash counting

    • Daily, weekly & monthly franchise sales reporting

    • Responsible for all aspects of accounting for retail stores including monitoring of receiving, maintaining product and price changes, analysis of inventory variances, and preparation of monthly journal entries

    • Bi-weekly G/L input of payroll import and other payroll related entries, including month-end accruals.

    • Cash counting for internal and external departments

    • Primary backup for other accounting clerk functions including accounts payable, cash receipts, daily sales, fixed assets and journal entry input

    • Special projects as requested by management, including payroll related areas requiring confidentiality

     

    Education and Training

     

    Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field

    Desired Qualifications

    • Preferred 2-4 years of G/L accounting experience in a multi-unit company environment

    • Sage Intacct experience preferred

    • Excellent calculator and computer skills including email, MS Excel and Word

    • Ability to work independently, prioritize work to meet strict deadlines and execute tasks with great attention to detail, accuracy, speed, and efficiency

    • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

    • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopies, phones, filing cabinets, fax machines etc.

    Physical and Mental Demands

    • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

    • The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and or move up to 25 lbs

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

    • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear

    • The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
