    SANITATION WORKER

    **POSITION SUMMARY:** Sanitation Workers are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas on a daily basis.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Disassemble production equipment to allow for thorough cleaning.

    + Rinse down area with high-pressure hoses.

    + Foam equipment and work area and then scrub them as needed.

    + Rinse equipment and work area to ensure all chemicals and soils are removed.

    + Inspect cleaned equipment and work area to ensure cleanliness.

    + Reassemble equipment in work area.

    + Report all mechanical problems to Supervisor, Lead, or Maintenance.

    + Complete mandatory safety, food safety/GMP, and chemical training as outlined for the job assignment.

    + Other duties as required.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS and BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High School Diploma or GED equivalent is strongly preferred.

    + Working knowledge of sanitation procedures and sanitation chemicals preferred.

    + Food or production/manufacturing experience preferred.

    + Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.

    + Ability to work from ladder and personal/scissor lift.

    + Ability to work in a hot, high humidity environment.

    + Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

    + Ability to use hands for 8-11 hours per day

    + Ability to work with industrial strength chemicals

    + Excellent attendance required.

    + Ability to work overtime as assigned.

    + Ability to multitask and work quickly with repetitive motion work.

    + Ability to comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense to deal with problems in standardized situations

    + Must be a team player.

    + Must have good communication skills.

    + Good hand and eye coordination required.

    + Must maintain good personal hygiene
