    View Point Health is a community behavioral health center utilizing a team of psychiatrists, nurses, licensed counselors and social workers, and other professionals to provide services to individuals who need treatment and support to cope with mental illness, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. View Point Health serves uninsured, underinsured, low-income Medicaid, Medicare, war veterans and some private insurance across multiple locations with a full continuum of behavioral health services and support. The services provided by View Point Health contribute to the reduction in homelessness, reduction in crime and subsequent incarcerations, higher graduation rates, lower dropout rates, decreased ER visits and decreased inpatient admissions.

     

    The Peer Recovery Coach will assist with care coordination, peer coaching, and the orientation of new residents, ensuring that each woman entering the program is welcomed and supported. Additionally, the Peer Recovery Coach will facilitate group sessions and provide shadowing support to other staff. The role also involves tracking and reporting services provided through monthly ADSS billing and assisting with patient flow to ensure the smooth operation of the program.

     

    The Peer Recovery Coach will play a critical role in ensuring timely transitions of care, supporting clients in linking to community resources, and assisting with scheduling and tracking appointments with VPH providers. This position also involves coordinating transportation for clients as needed, ensuring they can attend recovery-related appointments, and fostering a strong support system to empower women on their path to lasting sobriety and wellness.
