All employees are expected to work primarily physically within the State of Maryland. * /*The ideal candidate will personally connect with the Administration and Finance Guiding Principles which closely mirror UMB’s core values: Respect and Integrity, Well-Being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery.* / *Primary Duties:* * Create, design, develop, deliver, and evaluate effective methods of training to educate and enhance the competencies of employees at all levels to align with the strategic efforts of the university. * Develop and prepare training materials, develop instructional content, and determine methodology including presentations, instructor guides, participant guides, job aids, and learning activities based on adult learning principles. Utilize blended learning platforms and learning technologies to enhance the learner experience and application of learning. * Conduct organizational assessments, diagnostics, consulting/coaching, and develops action plan to address specific individual, department, and divisional needs consistent with Human Resource planning and organizational strategic efforts supporting the University's strategic plan. * Consult with campus leadership, managers, and supervisors, regarding departmental competencies and performance issues, change management, and process improvement. * Establish and maintain collaborative professional relationships with departmental personnel, including management, in order to plan training sessions. * Manage and maintain LMS system content, upload courses or other training items, build learning paths, and optimize system performance. Monitor and administer learning management systems security to include support for addition and removal of user access, quota administration, audits, and security problem resolution. * Manage the eLearning email account by troubleshooting LMS-related issues and responds to both email and phone inquiries from eLearning customers. Support users in the use of the LMS. Liaise with the LMS vendor to resolve technical issues related to LMS functionality. * Develop and maintain system guides and standard operating procedures to ensure all processes are appropriately documented. * Facilitate user experience with the LMS by creating learning campaigns, posting relevant updates about new LMS features, and other important announcements to drive user engagement. Create and manage LMS learner accounts, ensuring consistency and accuracy of the data. * Generate reports/metrics as requested. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of eLearning as it relates to Human Resources and university strategic efforts. * Performs other duties as assigned. *Education:*Bachelor's degree in a related field. *Experience:*Two (2) years related HR or LMS system administration experience with one of the mainstream LMS platforms (e.g., Skillsoft Percipio, LinkedIn Learning, Cornerstone). *Supervisory Experience:*NA *Certification/Licensure:*NA *Other:*Proficient in the use and functions of learning management software and systems. Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted. *Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:* Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.
