Unit Secretary – Emergency (Full-Time / Evenings)

Work location: Texas Health Flower Mound, 4400 Long Prairie Rd., Flower Mound, TX 75028
Work hours: Full-Time, 36 hours weekly, (3) 12-hour shifts, Evenings, 11:00am – 11:00pm. Occasional weekends.
Training: Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington Monday-Friday 8am-5pm during the first week of hire.

Qualifications - External
Here’s What You Need:
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
+ 1 year of healthcare experience strongly preferred.
+ Previous Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technician, or Patient Access Rep experience preferred.
+ Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
What You Will Do:
ORGANIZATIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and
other customers.
PARTNERSHIP:
Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers and all other disciplines.
WORKPLACE/PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Serves as a patient advocate.
QUALITY AND SAFETY:
Assists in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve them.
