    Job Title: TIG Welder

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for TIG welding during the manufacturing of Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) Ion Pumps, which are constructed from stainless steel. While the majority of the welds will be butt welds, there may also be some piping involved. The candidate will learn to weld 20 different products over time, including custom variations on the standard products, using blueprints. This position offers the opportunity for growth from Welder I to III.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform TIG welding on stainless steel during the manufacturing process.

    + Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics to create custom variations on standard products.

    + Execute short-run welds, averaging 3-10 parts per order.

    + Learn and weld 20 different standard products and their custom variations.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of TIG welding experience on stainless steel.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Welding certification.

    + Capability to lift 50 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) products.

    The company operates as a small enterprise with approximately 40 employees, including a production team of 25 and a welding team of 6. The work environment is very clean, and the company has recently moved into a new building, emphasizing growth and team collaboration.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
