Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

As a Shipping Associate within our plastic fencing company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are efficiently packed and delivered. You will be responsible for removing products from the line, inspecting them for defects, and verifying that they match specific customer orders. Your attention to detail will ensure that each product is packed according to customer specifications and loaded onto skids with protective materials to prevent damage during shipping.

Responsibilities

+ Remove product from the production line.

+ Inspect products to ensure they are free from defects and match the specific order.

+ Pack products according to customer specifications and load them onto skids.

+ Place protective materials on products to prevent damage during shipping.

+ Perform basic light assembly of parts as needed.

+ Accurately count and verify that shipments are complete and accurate.

+ Assist in other departments as needed.

+ Operate a hand jack to move empty and loaded skids.

+ Load and unload push carts, moving them to various production or staging areas.

+ Enter and remove items from inventory, ensuring accurate paper and computer documentation.

Essential Skills

+ Basic packing and loading skills.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in packing, production, packaging, picking, general labor, material handling, inspection, loading, and staging products.

+ Prior experience in unloading, loading, stacking, assembly, labelling, and shipping & receiving.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Holland, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr.
