Production Worker

Pay: $19-22/hour

Shift: 2:30pm-11pm

Job Description

As a Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by troubleshooting mechanical or operational issues, verifying materials, and ensuring that finished products meet quality standards. You will assemble doors, maintain a clean work area, and accurately document production activities.

Responsibilities

+ Perform basic troubleshooting on mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.

+ Verify correct materials, dimensions, and machining tolerances prior to and during the production run.

+ Inspect finished doors for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet customer requirements and building code standards.

+ Build and assemble doors as required, including adding hardware and other components.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in manufacturing areas to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

+ Complete daily logs and production paperwork, accurately recording the quantity and type of doors produced.

+ Communicate any production or quality concerns to supervisors or other relevant team members in a timely manner.

+ Follow all safety requirements and protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

+ Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards and assist in corrective actions when necessary.

+ Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall production process.

Essential Skills

+ 3-6 months of manufacturing experience

+ Dependability with a proven track record at former jobs

+ Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs

+ Enjoyment in performing laborious tasks

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working in another wood shop or door shop (highly preferred)

Work Environment

Work in the world's largest custom cabinetry shop, which dominates 65% of the west coast market share. The facility is a large manufacturing setting with all stages of cabinet and door manufacturing, assembly, and shipping. Expect a busy environment with overhead cranes, forklifts, and trucks in constant operation. Note that being a custom shop, there is a considerable amount of sawdust throughout. The shift is Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, with possible overtime if needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
