    Minimum Qualifications

    Three years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations.

    EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

    Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

    Job Duties and Other Information

    Job Duties:

    *Process electronic direct deposit (EFTS) applications which could include corresponding with retiree and/or

     

    financial institution to ensure proper set up.

     

    *Process Federal income tax withholdings as requested by the retirees on IRS Form W4P. Correspondence

     

    with the retiree may be necessary in order to accurately process the withholding request.

     

    *Processes member refund applications for their accumulated retirement contributions according to regulations

     

    and internal procedures.

     

    *Maintains supply database and the ordering, receiving, and distributing of supplies according to procedures.

    *Reviews and approves listing of supply room quality standards

     

    The Accountant Technician position has a Special Entrance Rate of $39,312.00 /annually

     

    LASERS requires all new hires to serve a minimum of eighteen (18) months not to exceed twenty-four (24) months in probational status including permanent state employees.
