The Contractor shall:
+ Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance and repairs on cranes and a wide range of rigging equipment. Performance of the assigned tasks require the handling and disposal of HAZMAT. The Contractor shall properly package, containerize, and label the HAZMAT in accordance with all regulations and use the NDSTC’s Temporary Storage and Disposal Facility for disposal of all HAZMAT. For the purpose of this PWS, HAZMAT and Hazardous Waste are synonymous.
+ Use the Navy Material Maintenance Management (3-M) Software Scheduling Program to document preventative maintenance.
+ Perform duties as a Crane Rigger, Rigger-in-Charge, Walker, and a Non-Cab Category 3 Crane Operator. Non-Cab means the crane device does not have a cab in which the operator sits. Support routinely requires working aloft at heights up to 60 feet while leaning through access openings or out over the edge of a guardrail system.
+ Assist in the certification of NDSTC Weight Handling Equipment and maintain all records associated with the process.
Requirements
+ Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Crane Service Technician and crane and weight handling equipment maintenance and rigging operations.
+ Must have completed 29 CFR Part 1926, Subpart M, Fall Protection training (CDRL).
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
+ Light to moderate lifting may be required.
+ Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
