    THE POSITION

    Jump-start a new career by joining the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a Technical Assistant! In this role, you will assist with and perform various materials testing functions. This is an entry-level position with multiple avenues for advancement within the department.     DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    In the Laboratory Testing Section, your role will focus on conducting diverse tests on aggregate material samples. Alongside preparing samples for further testing, you will assist in equipment calibration and maintenance. Documentation of your tasks and progress will be maintained in maintenance logs, and you will be expected to follow testing procedures in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Limited full-time employment, without benefits, up to 6 months in duration

    + Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

    + Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
