    Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a n Assistant Food and Beverage Manager . Support the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating the entire food and beverage operation at the facility by performing the following duties or through subordinate supervisors.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating concession operation s at the Fishers Event Center by performing the following duti es personally or through subordinate supervisors

    + Markets Food and Beverage services to clients and facilitates Food and Beverage control.

    + Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction.

    + Scheduling bartenders based on event operations and needs

    + Support client food & beverage and operational needs for the event

    + Makes recommendations for menu/theme development for the event

    + Assist in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates

    + Support Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards

    + Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations

    + Assists with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events.

    + Facilitates payroll processing for internal staff and NPO payouts

    + Maintains inventory control

    + Works within guidelines for food and labor costs

    + Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as patron attendance and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations.

    + Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations

    + Aware of current alcohol handling rules and regulations

    Qualifications

    + To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required .     + This position will work with limited supervision and will require the ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.

    + Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.

    + Servsafe certified

    + Valid Indiana Liquor Permit

    Education and/or Experience

    + Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred

    + M inimum 2 years experience in management level position in Food & Beverage or training ; o r equivalent combination of education and experience

    Skills and Abilities

    + Knowledge of spreadsheet software and payroll processing software

    + Advanced oral and written communication skills

    + Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility .

    + Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills.

    + Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.

    + Assess client requirements and deliver ensuring client satisfaction

    + Supervise food preparation, service and cleanup is essential

    + Build and maintain relationship with vendors

    + Ensure all safety and sanitation procedures are followed in compliance with HACCP
